Pacific Life in Newport Beach, CA is seeking a Director of Technology Delivery & Release Management to lead delivery governance, release strategy, and operational readiness across the technology portfolio. The role partners with product, platforms, infrastructure, and vendors to ensure predictable execution and risk management.

You will build and mentor a high-performing delivery team, establish standards, and drive executive reviews and dashboards that illuminate delivery health and release

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading technology delivery, program management, PMO, or release management functions.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers, delivery organizations, or enterprise-scale programs.
• Proven success leading complex technology portfolios within a matrixed organizational structure.
• Deep experience establishing delivery governance and release management frameworks.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of delivery managers and release managers.
• Own delivery governance, strategy, planning, coordination, and execution readiness.
• Drive transparency and predictability across strategic initiatives and technology investments.
• Establish end-to-end delivery standards, controls, and operating procedures.
• Coordinate dependencies across product, platform, infrastructure, and vendor teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in delivery performance and operational stability.
• Oversee release management operating model, governance, and go-live governance.
