Job summary

Pacific Life seeks a Director of Technology Transformation for the Institutional Division to guide technology strategy, architecture, and execution across retirement products. You will partner with theAVP, Transformation Leader to drive automation, AI-enabled service delivery, and scalable platforms with agile DevOps rigor.

You will shape the roadmap, lead hybrid teams, and ensure governance in a regulated environment while delivering measurable outcomes for growth and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology leadership roles in financial services or related industries.
• Experience delivering policy/contract administration or servicing platforms.
• Ability to translate business strategy into technology roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
• Strong command of agile delivery and DevOps/DevSecOps principles.
• Experience leading hybrid teams of employees, contractors, and vendors.
• Ability to operate in a regulated environment with strong controls.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Partner in a two-in-a-box model with the AVP Transformation Leader to co-own priorities and outcomes.
• Define and execute the technology roadmap for Institutional Division platforms supporting retirement products.
• Identify opportunities for automation, AI, and workflow orchestration to improve processing and experience.
• Champion composable, API-enabled, cloud-ready architecture across the platform landscape.
• Translate transformation roadmap into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with Product and Ops.
• Oversee sprint planning, releases, and delivery metrics using Agile and DevOps.
• Coordinate with vendor/BPO tech teams to meet delivery commitments.
• Support architecture decisions ensuring scalability, resiliency, and reuse.
