Daley And Associates, LLC. is assisting an acute-care hospital in Wilson, North Carolina, in recruiting an experienced Director of Surgical Services.

You will provide clinical and operational leadership across the OR, PACU and SDS, driving patient safety, staff development, budgeting, quality metrics, and regulatory compliance to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Competenze

• RN license in North Carolina (or qualifying compact)
• Bachelor's degree required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 5 years Operating Room experience
• Minimum 3 years management/leadership experience
• Current BLS; ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire
• Experience with budgeting, staff development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance preferred

Director of Surgical Services

Our client, an established acute-care hospital in Wilson, North Carolina, is seeking an experienced RN leader to oversee its Surgical Services departments: Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Same Day Surgery (SDS). This role provides clinical and operational leadership, with an emphasis on patient safety, staff development, efficient surgical operations, and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the OR, PACU, and Same Day Surgery departments.
• Ensure safe, high-quality perioperative care, positive patient outcomes, and adherence to clinical and regulatory standards.
• Develop and monitor department goals, operating budgets, productivity, quality measures, and performance metrics.
• Oversee staffing plans, scheduling, and resource utilization to support efficient surgical services delivery.
• Lead recruitment, retention, coaching, and professional development of perioperative staff.
• Partner with physicians and hospital leadership to improve surgical services, patient care, and physician satisfaction.
• Implement quality improvement and workflow initiatives; maintain compliance with accreditation, state, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license or qualifying compact RN license
• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least five years of Operating Room experience required.
• At least three years of management or leadership experience required.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with budgeting, staff development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance preferred.

Compensation

$104,000–$140,000 base salary + $15k bonus and comprehensive benefits
