Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, GA seeks an executive to oversee all Perioperative Services Division activities on a 24/7 basis across Pre-Op, Main OR, Ambulatory and Minor Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing and Central Service.

The role includes development of policies, quality improvement programs, and the capital/operating budgets, plus ensuring staffing, interviewing, promotions, evaluations and morale to maintain excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience including three years of progressive management/leadership required.
• RN license in Georgia or NLC/eNCL Multistate License required if a Registered Nurse; certification in area of clinical specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assuming administrative responsibility for all areas/functions of the Perioperative Services Division on a 24/7 basis including, but not limited to, pre-procedure testing, Pre-Op, Main OR, Ambulatory and Minor Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, and Central Service. Develops policies and procedures as well as the quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility. Develops the capital and operating budgets for Perioperative Services Division. Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed, including interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
