Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an accomplished Perioperative Services administrator to oversee all areas on a 24/7 basis, including pre-procedure testing, OR, PACU, and related labs. This role develops policies, quality programs, and budgets, and ensures properly staffed teams with strong leadership and morale.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Nursing or related field, with a Master’s preferred, and at least 5 years in progressive management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another related field Required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field Preferred
• 5 years experience to include three (3) years of progressive management/leadership experience Required
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure If a Registered Nurse, must have current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License Required
• Certification in area of clinical specialty Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assume administrative responsibility for all areas/functions of the Perioperative Services Division on a 24/7 basis.
• Develops policies and procedures as well as the quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility.
• Develops the capital and operating budgets for Perioperative Services Division.
• Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed, including interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
