Job summary

Ascentec Engineering is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Management to lead a team of customer supply chain planners and buyers at our Tualatin, Oregon headquarters. The role focuses on driving on-time delivery, coordinating with customers and suppliers, and aligning manufacturing plans with customer requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in a technical field and 5+ years in production or supply chain, with strong lean, ERP, and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in production, supply chain, order fulfillment, engineering, manufacturing, or operations.
• Experience managing a team.
• Knowledge of lean concepts and kanban replenishment techniques.
• Advanced knowledge of Epicor ERP or equivalent ERP.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior management and production.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of customer supply chain planners and buyers.
• Take full ownership of supplier delivery performance.
• Communicate directly with customers and suppliers.
• Proactively align manufacturing plans to customer requirements.
• Communicate schedule improvements/delays to customers via reports and meetings.
• Manage external and internal customer escalations.
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies and processes aligned with business goals.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
• Ensure on-time deliveries for all acknowledged POs.
• Document relevant SOPs and changes.
• Track and report on-time delivery to customer needs.
• Support and train a global team of supply chain managers and buyers.
