Job summary

Ascentec Engineering, LLC is seeking a strategic Buyer at our Tualatin headquarters to plan, source, and procure materials for semiconductor and precision manufacturing operations. You will work with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, and Sales to balance cost, quality, inventory, and delivery objectives.

The role emphasizes supplier performance, supply chain continuity, and continuous improvement initiatives within an onsite environment; ITAR compliance and ISO expectations are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing/procurement/supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using ERP/MRP procurement systems (SAP/Epicor/Oracle, Netsuite).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, qualify, and manage suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
• Create, issue, and manage POs with accurate pricing, quantities, specs, and delivery timelines.
• Expedite orders and manage supplier commitments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to support continuity and performance.
• Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and address issues with suppliers.
