Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead new business pursuits and renewals within the Automotive, Aeronautical, and Industrial sectors.

You will manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, and directing a cross-functional pursuit team to develop pricing, value propositions, and tailored presentations. The role emphasizes new contracts, team selling, and solution selling with a defined quota.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
• MBA preferred.
• Five (5) years or more sales experience with quota.
• Five (5) years or more in selling supply chain solutions and achieving quota attainment more than 3 times within a 60-month period.

Responsibilities

• Lead deal pursuit including deal and pricing strategy, proposal plan, prospecting new brands, and developing pipeline.
• Provide continued commercial support on accounts after closing deals.
• Focus on cross-selling opportunities and transitioning accounts as needed.
• Propose strategic business growth targets and cross-sell opportunities within accounts.
