Job summary

Elizabethtown Community & Technical College is seeking a Director of Student Support Services to provide comprehensive support to low-income, first-generation, or disabled students to boost retention and graduation rates. The role is based at the Leitchfield and Springfield campuses and is grant-funded through 2030 with annual evaluations.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a related field, five years of relevant experience, and strong skills in budgeting, supervision, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, higher education or related field with five years related experience, or equivalent.
• Travel and valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with federal regulations including EDGAR and Cost-Circulars.
• Experience in administration, teaching, or related fields with data management, budget and supervisory experience.
• Experience assisting first-generation, low-income, or disadvantaged populations and understanding of cultures, heritages, and learning styles of individuals served.
• Knowledge of financial aid, advising, career counseling, and college admission procedures.
• Strong organizational, planning, and presentation skills; ability to work with multiple constituents.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the development and implementation of all aspects of the grant.
• Administers and manages the budget in accordance with college policy and in compliance with requirements and regulations of the U.S. Department of Education.
• Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates all program personnel.
• Assist SSS participants with postsecondary course selection.
• Evaluates SSS program and services to ensure SSS grant goals and objectives are met.
• Oversee the development and implementation of the Risk Assessment for the program.
• Collaborates with campus personnel, community partners and agencies to advocate for low-income, first-generation, and disabled SSS participants.
• Assists with the selection of program participants and completion of the Annual Performance Report (APR).
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
