Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) seeks a Manager of Student Support Services to lead area supervisors, counselors, pathway advisors, and student success liaisons. You will coordinate proactive advising, counseling, and retention across paths district-wide, partnering with deans, directors, and staff.

Responsibilities include directing orientation, course placement, first-year programs, and mental health services, using data-driven strategies to improve outcomes while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Psychology, Advising or similar field.
• Five years of relevant professional experience and three years of administrative supervision of staff or one year with Emerging Leaders equivalency.
• Experience in counseling center environments and student success initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and day-to-day operations of student support services across campus.
• Coordinate new student orientation, course placement, and first-year experience programming.
• Provide leadership for counseling and advising services and crisis intervention.
• Manage grant-funded programs and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Leverage data analytics to inform retention strategies and program improvements.
