Job summary

The Heights at Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ, seeks a Director of Student Housing Facilities & Operations to lead maintenance, custodial services, capital planning and resident programming. This role reports to the Regional Vice President and oversees a team, driving a safe, clean, and engaging housing environment for students.

Responsibilities include budgeting, hiring/training, staff supervision, and collaboration with campus partners to ensure a superior housing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in student housing operations or related field.
• Experience with budgeting, personnel, and data analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with campus partners.
• Familiarity with housing contracts/assignments and accounts processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and program management for residential community integration.
• Represent and communicate with the University, owners, auditors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee budgets, payroll, procurement, and vendor/contracts.
• Supervise maintenance and custodial staff and oversee facilities management.
• Ensure a high-quality housing experience and responsive service delivery.
