Job summary

National Life Group seeks a Director, Structuring to lead the design and ongoing management of internal feeder funds, CLOs, and asset-backed vehicles. You’ll oversee capital structures, cashflow modeling, and documentation from start to finish, coordinating with rating agencies, arrangers, and investment teams.

You will drive compliance testing, reporting, amendments, and refinancings, while partnering to align credit guidelines with investment objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field.
• 5–10 years of experience in CLOs, feeder funds, ABS, or similar structured vehicles.
• Strong command of structured credit documentation, capital structures, covenants, and rating processes.
• Proven ability to execute end-to-end structuring and ratings processes.
• Proficiency with Intex and Excel.
• Excellent organizational and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and build systems and models when needed.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Structure and execute internal feeder funds, CLOs, warehouses, and related financing vehicles.
• Ongoing management: compliance, covenant monitoring, waterfall tests, reporting, amendments, resets, refinancings.
• Lead rating agency engagement across vehicle life cycle and surveillance.
• Build and maintain cashflow models; test rating agency scenarios.
• Collaborate with Direct Lending and Asset-Based Finance teams to align objectives.
• Evaluate externally managed vehicles and advise Investment Committee actions.
• Negotiate documentation with counsel and arrangers; coordinate trustees and service providers.
• Advise on financing strategy and capital cost implications; NAIC/designations.
• Produce pipeline reporting and prepare materials for committees and senior management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
