New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) is seeking a highly experienced Structured Finance professional in Hybrid NYC to structure and model private asset-backed transactions and mortgage-backed securities. The role emphasizes credit research, cashflow modeling, and performance reporting across deals and portfolios.

The candidate will collaborate with deal teams, enhance reporting, and monitor holdings to align with accounting and pricing.

Qualifications

15+ years of Structured Finance modeling and data analytics experience with Private ABS and Residential Mortgages/Securities.
Bachelor's Degree required, MBA or CFA preferred.
Strong background in credit research.
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Experience with cashflow modeling, scenario and sensitivity analysis for asset-backed transactions.
An assertive self-starter with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Structure and model new Asset-backed and Mortgage-Backed private transactions using Intex Deal Maker and Excel.
Enhance reporting to evaluate and communicate performance of underlying assets and risk-adjusted returns at deal, sector and portfolio levels.
Inform on consumer and commercial asset trends and support proper pricing and risk assessment with deal teams.
Monitor existing holdings to integrate with accounting, operations, internal legal and pricing.
