Job summary

National Life Group seeks a Director, Structuring to lead design and life-cycle management of internal feeder funds, CLOs, and asset-backed financing vehicles. You will oversee capital structure, cashflow modeling, rating agency execution, and closing processes while ensuring compliance, reporting, and adaptations with complex investments.

The role partners with lending and finance teams to align objectives, and requires strong technical rigor, autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field.
• 5–10 years of experience in CLOs, feeder funds, ABS, or related structured vehicles.
• Proficiency with structured credit documentation, capital structures, covenants, and ratings processes.
• Proven ability to execute end-to-end structuring and ratings processes.
• Experience with Intex and Excel.
• Excellent organizational and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Structure and execute internal feeder funds, CLOs, warehouses, and related financing vehicles.
• Manage ongoing compliance testing, covenant monitoring, and resets for vehicles.
• Lead rating agency engagement across the vehicle life cycle and related tests.
• Build and maintain cashflow models to support ratings and structuring.
• Coordinate with Direct Lending and Asset-Based Finance teams on objectives.
• Evaluate externally managed vehicles and third-party managers for IC recommendations.
• Negotiate transaction documentation and coordinate trustees and service providers.
• Advise on financing strategy and NAIC-related implications.
• Produce pipeline reporting for Investment Committees and senior management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
