Job summary

National Life Group seeks a Director, Structuring to lead the structuring and ongoing management of internal feeder funds, CLOs, and related asset-backed financing vehicles. This role involves design, modeling, rating agency collaboration, documentation, and lifecycle governance.

Responsibilities include overseeing capital structure design, compliance, and negotiations with counsel and arrangers, while aligning with investment objectives and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a quantitative field.
• 5–10 years of CLO, feeder fund, ABS, or other structured vehicle experience including origination, banking, or rating agency analysis.
• Strong command of structured credit documentation, capital structures, covenants, and ratings process.
• Proven ability to execute end-to-end structuring and ratings processes.
• Proficiency with Intex and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Structure and execute internal feeder funds, CLOs, warehouses, and related financing vehicles.
• Own ongoing management of outstanding vehicles, including compliance and covenant monitoring, waterfall and test verification, amendments, resets, and refinancings.
• Lead rating agency engagement across the vehicle life cycle, including selection, stress and cashflow analysis, agency presentation, and ongoing surveillance.
• Build and maintain cashflow models, replicating rating agency scenarios and testing structures.
• Partner with Direct Lending and Asset-Based Finance teams to align objectives.
• Evaluate externally managed vehicles and third-party managers across structure, documentation, collateral, and manager capability.
• Negotiate transaction documentation with counsel and arrangers, coordinate trustees/agents.
• Advise on financing strategy and cost of capital across various structures, including NAIC designation and statutory capital.
• Produce pipeline reporting and materials for Investment Committee and senior management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
