Job summary

Ameriprise Financial seeks a Director - Business Programs to steer large-scale programs aligned with corporate strategy. You will set objectives, negotiate changes, manage dependencies, and deliver critical milestones on time and within budget while building strong relationships with executive sponsors.

You will lead cross-functional teams across finance, HR and operations, prepare executive level communications, and coach team members to achieve peak performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• 7+ years experience in program and project management.
• Ability to lead, influence, and communicate across all levels of the organization.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills focused on internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Co-Pilot, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manages program execution to meet quality, schedule, milestones, and budget commitments.
• Manages program scope, risk and changes.
• Develops and maintains detailed work plans with dependencies and deliverables.
• Provides issue identification and recommendations for resolution.
• Ensures program implementation and ongoing maintenance resources are secured.
• Tracks and analyzes program performance against the plan and outcomes.
• Leads high-level sessions for plan and schedule development.
• Prepares executive level presentations and briefings for sponsors.
