Job summary

Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Director, Strategic Engagements, Northeast, to join our Commercial team and drive strategically focused HCP engagement for Azetukalner.

You will own national and regional KOL relationships, map market drivers, align cross-functional launch plans, and travel 50–75% to field events, advisory boards, and congresses, while reporting to the Senior Director, Customer Engagement and maintaining compliant practices.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required; MBA/PhD preferred.
• 10+ years in epilepsy marketing, medical, key account management, sales, or leadership with KOL engagement.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with internal & external stakeholders.
• Ability to innovate and deliver results with patient impact.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and maintain long-term relationships with national and regional epilepsy KOLs and advisors.
• Own KOL influence mapping, stakeholder profiling, engagement strategies, and plans.
• Synthesize stakeholder insights and market trends into actionable recommendations.
• Advise Commercial leadership with market intelligence and launch readiness input.
• Support launch readiness by engaging stakeholders influencing awareness and adoption.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Advocacy.
• Drive coordinated account planning with matrix teams for aligned engagement.
• Identify opportunities, barriers, and customer needs to strengthen launch prep.
• Attend and lead engagements at national/regional congresses and meetings.
• Collaborate on disease-state education, brand strategy, and customer approaches.
