Job summary

The University of Florida College of Nursing is seeking a Director of Development & Strategic Alumni Engagement to lead major gifts, alumni relations, and donor stewardship. This role partners with faculty and college leadership to align donor interests with UF initiatives.

The position involves cultivating and soliciting gifts, managing programs for six stakeholder audiences, coordinating events, and producing strategic reports for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Masters degree with 3 years of development experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of development experience.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of major gift prospects (>$100,000).
• Identify and cultivate prospects through face-to-face visits and tailored strategies.
• Develop and execute cultivation and solicitation strategies aligned with college priorities.
• Partner with faculty and college leadership to align donor interests with UF initiatives.
• Identify and engage private foundations and coordinate strategy and reporting.
• Develop an engagement strategy for alumni, donors, students, parents, faculty, and partners.
• Collaborate with corporate relations to identify and prioritize corporate foundations.
• Oversee donor recognition and stewardship events and activities.
• Record donor activity in Advance database and manage pipelines.
• Analyze giving trends and prepare strategic leadership reports.
