Job summary

University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville seeks a Director of Development to lead all development efforts for the College and UF Health Jacksonville. The role reports to the AVP/Chief Advancement Officer, collaborating with colleagues to build grateful patient donor pipelines and major gift strategies.

The Director will design and execute cultivation programs, manage prospect research, and oversee events and stewardship.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and three years of development-related experience, or a bachelor's degree with five years in development or related field.
• A valid Florida driver license.
• Experience in major gifts fundraising and donor relations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects for college and health system with gifts of $100,000+.
• Grow and refine a portfolio of prospects and donors; advance relationships to closure through visits and proposals.
• Develop major gift proposals, acknowledge gifts, and coordinate with volunteers and leadership.
