Job summary
Designer Brands is seeking a visionary Director, Merchandising & Store Technology to lead the strategy and delivery of technology across merchandising, planning, allocation, inventory, and store operations. You will shape roadmaps, drive innovation, and ensure teams have systems and data to meet business goals for hundreds of stores and their customers.
The role reports to the Sr. Director, Retail Systems and involves managing a team of 5 in a remote setting with strong governance and security
Qualifications
- 10+ years of technology management experience in retail merchandising or store technology.
- Experience leading large portfolios, modernization, and budget oversight.
- Deep knowledge of merchandising processes and relevant tech.
Responsibilities
- Direct the development and execution of the retail technology strategy for merchandising systems.
- Lead store technology platforms, including POS and inventory management.
- Partner with business and tech leaders to align roadmaps with priorities.
- Oversee PCI, SOX, FTC compliance activities and audits.
- Build and mentor high-performing technology teams.
