Job summary

MD Ally seeks a Director of Government Partnerships to own state and local contracts, build agency relationships, and guide opportunities from pre‑solicitation through implementation. The role is remote with up to 40% travel and requires deep knowledge of Medicaid programs, procurement processes, and public safety partnerships.

The successful candidate will lead pursuits, negotiate terms, and ensure successful go‑live while expanding MD Ally's presence across states.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in state and local government capture, public sector business development, government contracting, Medicaid program development, or healthcare technology sales.
• Bachelor's degree required, equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Carry and deliver an annual target for new government contract awards and revenue.
• Run capture across prioritized states; pursue primes or as a prime where possible.
• Map decision makers, budgets, and incumbents; track progress and next steps.
• Develop relationships with state health, Medicaid, EMS, and county public safety staff.
• Develop teaming approaches for each pursuit and coordinate content for solicitations.
• Respond to RFIs and represent MD Ally at vendor sessions and industry days.
• Coordinate submissions with clinical, compliance, and finance teams; meet deadlines.
• Drive pursuits under Rural Health Transformation Program; align with 911 telehealth priorities.
• Lead contract negotiations on scope, pricing, and terms; obtain CEO/counsel approvals.
• Own post‑award transition and go‑live implementation; maintain relationship after launch.
• Monitor program activity; brief team on pipeline, deployments, and revenue timing.
• Identify pathways for MD Ally to participate in state programs; coordinate with compliance and payer teams.
• Flag events requiring advocacy for outside counsel or registered advocates.
