Job summary

Code for America is seeking an Associate Director of Government Partnerships to expand the reach and long-term impact of its programs. You will own a portfolio of state and local government accounts, build strong relationships, and guide opportunities from initial conversations to signed agreements.

This role reports to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, travels up to 10%, and collaborates with program, product, and engineering teams to shape offerings and pitches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in partnerships, including state/local government
• Proven track record from first conversation to signed agreement (MOUs, data sharing, SOWs)
• Experience managing government accounts and growing them over time
• Ability to shape the offer and build the pitch with program, product, and engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of state and local government accounts, building strong relationships and managing opportunities from first conversation through signed agreement
• Help shape what we offer agencies and how we pitch it, working with program, product, and engineering teams
• Own the pitch materials and partnership infrastructure behind this work, including decks, case studies, and accurate account records
