Job summary

The Colorado Department of Human Services seeks a Director of Staff Education at CMHIP in Pueblo to lead mandatory training and new employee orientation, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality educational programs.

You will oversee curriculum development, track compliance with JC, CMS, CDPHE standards, and manage instructors while partnering with Quality Management to drive continuous improvement across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Nine (9) years of relevant training experience, with at least four years in supervision.
• Combination of related education and/or relevant experience in training totaling nine (9) years.
• Preferred qualifications include Verbal Defense/Continuum of Therapeutic Intervention, CPR Instructor certification, and PowerPoint curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers staff education programs aligned with accreditation standards.
• Delivers training in Non-Escalation, De-Escalation, Mandt, CPR, and other designated content.
• Supervises instructors and mentors co-instructors.
• Manages scheduling, curriculum development, and assessment of learning outcomes.
• Collaborates with Quality Management to implement regulatory standards.
