Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Director, Solutions/Conceptual Design to lead the team that develops end-to-end technical solutions for new customer opportunities and strategic pursuits. You will mentor Communication Systems Architects and shape architecture across antennas, RF, processing, and software to deliver differentiated, executable solutions.

In this role you will partner with Product Development, Business Development, customers and engineering to translate mission needs into compelling

Qualifications

• Experience leading end-to-end system architectures for complex communications.
• Ability to translate customer needs into executable technical solutions.
• Strong mentoring of architects and technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing team of Communication Systems Architects for complete solutions.
• Ensure end-to-end architecture ownership from CONOPS to execution.
• Translate mission objectives into differentiated system solutions with customers.
• Lead architecture trades across antennas, RF, processing, and interfaces.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Product to win opportunities.
• Develop system requirements, CONOPS, architecture definitions, and verification approaches.
• Identify recurring customer needs to influence product roadmaps and technology investments.
• Balance performance with cost, schedule, and manufacturability while ensuring execution readiness.
• Mentor senior technical leaders to grow system-level breadth and business judgment.
