Job summary

CesiumAstro seeks a Director, Solutions/Conceptual Design to lead the architecture of end-to-end technical solutions for new customer opportunities. You will supervise a team of Communication Systems Architects and collaborate with Product, BD, customers, and Engineering to translate mission needs into actionable architectures.

The role requires senior leadership in system architecture, strong domain expertise in communications, and the ability to balance performance with cost and schedule while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in a related engineering discipline with 11–15, 9–12, or 7–10 years of experience respective to degree.
• Proven leadership in system architecture, chief engineer roles, or equivalent.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and end-to-end architectures across engineering disciplines.
• Advanced expertise in communications domains such as RF/antenna, digital processing, or DSP.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing team of Communication Systems Architects for end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure accountable technical architects for pursuits from CONOPS to transition to execution.
• Translate customer objectives into differentiated system solutions with cross-functional partners.
• Lead architecture trades across antennas, RF, processing, and networking.
• Develop and maintain system requirements, CONOPS, interfaces, and verification strategies.
• Shape product roadmaps by identifying common needs and architectural investments.
