Job summary

SB Energy Corp. is seeking a Director of Operations - Renewables to lead commercial and operational performance for a growing portfolio of utility-scale solar projects across the United States.

You will own profitability, drive strategic initiatives, and manage budgets, contracts, and key relationships with contractors, utilities, and investors. The role requires deep industrial operations experience, a commercial mindset, and the ability to align operational decisions with financial objectives

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or professional certifications such as PMP, CFA, CPA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial environments.
• Minimum 7 years experience in utility-scale solar operations.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of NEC and standard practices; ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Up to 20% domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational and commercial performance of a portfolio of utility-scale solar assets.
• Own plant profitability and performance objectives across the portfolio.
• Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, availability, and asset value.
• Manage operating budgets, forecasts, and business plans for assets.
• Monitor KPIs and financial metrics; drive accountability.
• Oversee O&M relationships with service providers and EPCs.
• Ensure PPAs, interconnections, warranties, and contracts are met.
• Coordinate with investors, lenders, and regulators.
