Job summary

Silicon Ranch Corporation is seeking a Director of Asset Management to lead the commercial and financial performance of its operating solar fleet (>200 plants, ~4 GW DC). You will own the function, build a scalable team, and serve as the primary commercial lead with offtakers, utilities, and financing parties, with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, science, or mathematics.
• 10+ years in power generation or utility-scale renewable energy, with at least 5 in asset management, commercial operations, or project finance.
• 3+ years leading teams with portfolio-level accountability.
• Experience managing claims, warranty recoveries, and contract enforcement with O&M providers, OEMs, or EPCs.
• Working knowledge of DSCR, covenants, reserve accounts, and cash waterfalls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI or Microsoft Fabric preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Asset Management function.
• Set the Asset Management strategy, KPIs, and operating cadence for the fleet.
• Define roles, responsibilities, and decision authority by level, with portfolio assignments and escalation paths.
• Build scalable staffing, tooling, and hiring plans for fleet growth.
• Ensure commercial performance across portfolios, including contract enforcement and recoveries.
• Own revenue integrity end to end: invoiced production, curtailment billing, meter scaling, settlements, and handoffs to Accounting and AR.
• Maintain utility accounts and ensure bills are paid before COD.
• Oversee REC program for facilities, including registries and retirement obligations.
• Serve as primary commercial contact with offtakers, utilities, and other customers with travel up to 15%.
• Understand financing structures: project finance debt, tax equity, sale-leaseback, back-leverage.
• Monitor DSCR, covenants, reserve accounts, and how performance drives them.
• Support lender, tax equity, and independent engineer reporting; manage material contract changes.
