Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead and transform our software teams, guiding legacy modernization and high-quality delivery. You will champion Agile practices, drive customer-focused outcomes, and manage cross-functional collaboration with Product, Enterprise Architecture, and PMO.

The role requires 10+ years of IT management experience, strong leadership, and experience with modern tech stacks, cloud-first approaches, and AI-enabled development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 10+ years of IT Management experience with direct leadership of software teams.
• Experience with modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods.
• Cloud-first development and microservices architectures.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to improve delivery accuracy and efficiency.
• Proficient in .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, and agile methodologies.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality software on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development and evolve legacy apps to modern, maintainable systems.
• Provide vision and direction for the software development organization.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Agile Delivery teams to prioritize and deliver value.
• Build relationships with business owners to deliver software that meets needs.
• Develop and mentor a team of managers and engineers.
• Define KPIs and report performance to stakeholders.
• Stay current with modern technologies including AI and adapt strategy accordingly.
• Ensure compliance and foster collaborative, respectful work culture.
