Job summary

Canonical is seeking a senior software alliances professional for a remote role based in the EMEA region. You will set account strategy for major accounts, collaborate with product, engineering, alliance and marketing teams, and capture partner requirements to drive Ubuntu adoption and joint go-to-market plans.

You will lead with open source strategies, create customer-facing materials, and travel up to 25% for conferences and partner events.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in business development or product management.
• Experience with enterprise accounts and complex sales cycles.
• Bachelor's degree in science, technology and/or engineering.
• Excellent communication across all stakeholder levels; ability to synthesize complex material.
• Ability to operate strategically and tactically in a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Set the account strategy in a major account, region, or vertical.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, alliance and marketing teams to align on open-source strategies.
• Capture partner requirements, evaluate gaps, and identify Canonical opportunities.
• Coordinate with marketing and product teams on messaging, content creation, and launch plans.
• Create partner- and customer-facing materials like reference architectures, joint blueprints, webinars, presentations, videos, and white papers.
• Drive Ubuntu adoption within alliance accounts, and enable partner teams across development, delivery, and support.
• Influence alliance partners to build with Canonical technology.
• Travel up to 25% internationally for conferences and partner engagements.
