The Salvation Army Southern CA Division seeks a Director of Special Projects to partner with the Managing Director on research, planning, and implementing Orange County based initiatives. The role bridges social research with new program design and the funding ecosystem to scale impact.

Key focus areas include securing grants and contracts, building alliances with government and private partners, and ensuring mission alignment across initiatives while maintaining high program integrity.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree related to nonprofit leadership and program management.
• Certifications in related fields (Social Impact Strategy, PMP, or HCD) are preferred.
• Experience with government contracts or funding partnerships.

Responsabilités

• Drive leadership, management, and execution of short-term special projects, including Anaheim Emergency Shelter.
• Identify and secure diverse revenue streams, such as grants, government contracts, and social enterprise opportunities.
• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder proposals and pitches articulating CARI’s value and impact.
• Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with community stakeholders, policymakers, and corporate partners.
• Monitor the social services landscape for emerging needs, legislative changes, and funding shifts.
• Ensure partnerships and revenue streams align with TSA values and program integrity.
• Review, create, and update policies and procedures per operational needs.
• Represent CARI and TSA in coalitions, policy discussions, and advocacy settings.
