Job summary

FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY in Charlotte, NC seeks a Director of Shared Services to lead accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. The role ensures GAAP compliance, internal controls, and timely reporting while driving standardization and automation across shared services.

You will build and lead high-performing teams, manage budgets, and partner with business leaders on strategic initiatives, transformation efforts, and service delivery improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing shared service teams (AP, AR, payroll, cash management, expenses, vendor mgmt).
• Experience in multi-entity/multi-location or complex organizations.
• ERP systems experience with SAP, Oracle, Workday or similar.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shared services functions including AP, AR, payroll, cash management, expenses, and vendor management.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Direct preparation of management reports and audit support documentation.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and ERP optimization initiatives.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics to improve efficiency.
