Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a Director of Shared Services to lead the North American finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets, ensuring compliance, control, and continuous improvement. This role reports to executive leadership and drives standardization and automation across shared services.

Responsibilities include building high‑performing teams, developing KPIs, and partnering with business leaders on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience leading large, multi-location shared service organizations.
• Proven ability to drive process improvement and ERP optimization initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee North American shared services functions (A/P, A/R, payroll, fixed assets).
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Direct the preparation of management reports and audit support documentation.
• Drive process standardization, automation, and ERP optimization initiatives.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics.
• Partner with business leaders on strategic finance initiatives and growth.
• Build and lead high-performing shared services teams.
• Manage budgets, workforce planning, and risk management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
