Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a strategic leader to own and advance the Security Risk Strategic Roadmap, building a high-performing team and partnering with senior leaders across the enterprise to translate emerging technology and cyber risks into actionable business strategy.

The role requires strong security domain expertise, governance experience, and a proven ability to communicate complex risk to executives, with a focus on regulatory alignment and enterprise risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 8+ years in security capabilities, technologies, and architecture; 5+ years leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee one or more security risk strategy teams, hire, onboard, train, allocate tasks, set goals, and manage performance.
• Oversee the ongoing strategic planning lifecycle and communicate the Security Risk Strategic Roadmap.
• Collaborate with peers and senior leaders to improve processes and align security with business needs.
• Facilitate bi-annual reviews of the Security Risk Strategic Roadmap with senior security leadership.
• Translate business requirements into strategic plans based on threat landscape assessments.
• Provide advisory services to BISOs, Compliance Officers and senior leaders.
• Develop and communicate a long-term vision to improve security posture and mitigate enterprise risk.
• Meet with auditors and regulators to demonstrate Centene's security strategy and capabilities.
• Influence industry trends and regulations as directed.
