Job summary

Oklo seeks a Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to own the year-end and quarterly financial statements, coordinate technical accounting analyses, and develop policies and SOX controls as the company grows.

The role partners with internal audit, external auditors, Corporate Development, and FP&A to ensure accurate, scalable reporting and to educate teams on evolving accounting topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years in accounting and financial reporting roles, including public accounting.
• SEC reporting experience required.
• Active CPA.
• Strong knowledge of ASC literature and GAAP guidance plus ability to document analyses clearly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and footnotes for Form 10-K and Form 10-Q with supporting schedules.
• Partner with stakeholders to prepare the MD&A.
• Lead Disclosure Committee meetings and Audit Committee reporting.
• Oversee frequent accounting discussions with external auditors on significant transactions.
• Conduct technical accounting research on complex topics (business combinations, power purchase agreements, consolidation).
• Lead adoption of new accounting standards and updates and monitor FASB developments.
• Own accounting policies and SOX controls; ensure ICFR certifications are well supported.
• Coach and develop the finance team and provide training on key topics.
