Job summary

Green Brick Partners, Inc. is seeking a Director of SEC Reporting to lead external SEC reporting, internal financial reporting, and technical accounting research at our Plano corporate office.

This senior role requires overseeing Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and related filings, coordinating with external auditors, tax providers, and cross-functional teams for accurate disclosures. A strategic, process-improvement mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Requires strong technical accounting background with ability to research and conclude on complex matters.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end SEC reporting process including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks and Section 16 filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors on audits and with tax providers on tax provisions and returns.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos and support SOX controls.
• Develop and implement process improvements for financial reporting and use of reporting technologies.
• Oversee equity compensation accounting and related records with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain corporate governance and entity maintenance including filings and resolutions.
