Job summary

ADARx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in San Diego seeks an Associate Director/Director, Financial Reporting with hands-on accounting leadership.

You will drive SEC reporting, financial statement preparation, and technical accounting analyses for a public-company environment, partnering with accounting, finance, legal, HR, auditors, and outside counsel. The role focuses on equity accounting, disclosures, close processes, and effective internal controls, with the final title based on experience.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, including SEC reporting and technical accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review, and filing of Forms 10-Q and 10-K and other SEC filings.
• Draft and review financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and disclosure controls.
• Coordinate close process and supporting schedules for external reporting.
• Manage equity accounting, stock-based compensation, and related disclosures.
• Evaluate complex transactions under US GAAP (debt/equity, licenses, R&D, leases).
• Develop and maintain technical accounting memoranda and policies.
• Ensure SOX readiness and internal control effectiveness.
