Drug Hunter is a B2B scientific intelligence platform for biotech/pharma R&D scientists that empowers them to discover medicines of the future. We serve >250 R&D institutions, including top global biotech & pharma companies.

The Director, Scientific Data & Informatics will own the integrity, structure, and evolution of Drug Hunter’s scientific data across our knowledge platform and scientific databases.

Qualifications

• PhD in cheminformatics, bioinformatics, computational biology, structural biology, or related quantitative life-science field.
• 10+ years working with scientific data in drug discovery, biotech, or life science data/informatics companies.
• 3+ years leading people or a data function.
• Fluency in bioinformatics with knowledge of biological databases and ontologies.
• Strong data modeling skills and proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with data pipelines and modern data tooling.
• Understanding of the drug discovery process from target to clinic; ability to converse with medicinal chemists and biologists.
• Clear communicator able to bridge science and engineering/product decisions.

Responsabilités

• Own the scientific data strategy for acquisition, representation, integration, normalization, and maintenance of data.
• Define representations, curation standards, vocabularies, QA rules, and tooling for scalable data curation.
• Lead extraction of structured information from unstructured content (literature, patents) and link to canonical entities.
• Manage semantics, entity resolution, and ontology strategy across sources.
• Evaluate data sources across chemistry, biology, DMPK, drug, and clinical domains and define contributions to Drug Hunter.
• Set data quality, provenance, validation, completeness, and freshness standards; drive issue resolution.
