Children’s Aid is seeking a School Age Program Director to oversee after-school and summer camp programs at East Harlem Center @ Lexington Academy. You will plan, organize, direct, coordinate and supervise program activities and staff, ensuring alignment with agency policies and DYCD/CSIS data input requirements.

The role requires managing all youth programs, developing innovative activities, coordinating trips, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with families and partners.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, Education, Counseling, Psychology or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years experience with school-age youth and/or families in community-based programs.
• Supervisory skills and experience.
• Knowledge of youth development principles.
• Crisis/emergency management skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to varying schedules.
• Ability to interface with diverse youth and staff populations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and database operations.
• Ability to travel.
• Willingness to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all School Age youth programs and services: After-School and Summer Day Camp programs.
• Develop and implement high-quality youth programming using youth development principles.
• Plan and schedule educational and experiential trips to foster learning.
• Obtain related licenses to operate School Age programs.
• Perform Youth Outreach and Data Input.
• Hire, supervise and evaluate School Age staff and summer camp staff.
• Organize staff development workshops and trainings.
• Coordinate staff orientations, meetings and trainings.
• Organize calendars, events, and community-service projects.
