Position: Director of Sales and Catering
As the Great Wolf Director of Sales and Catering, your focus is to manage and grow relationships to exceed guest satisfaction and meet revenue goals. You will set revenue-generating strategies for soliciting, booking, managing, and overseeing sales and conference service teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve sales objectives through recruiting, training, coaching, and managing team members; communicate expectations; monitor and review performance; enforce policies and procedures.
- Manage total group revenue strategies, including group rooms, food and beverage, meeting room rentals, and other revenues as assigned.
- Leverage the Sales Team to execute sales strategies and meet financial targets.
- Forecast requirements, prepare budgets, analyze variances to maximize profitability.
- Develop sales quotas, analyze trends, establish pricing strategies, and monitor costs and competition.
- Plan and evaluate field sales actions to meet sales objectives.
- Maintain relationships with key accounts through visits and exploring new opportunities.
- Resolve complaints from groups and attendees, including billing and reservations issues.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree in Sales, Communications, Marketing, Business, or Hotel Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in sales, event planning, or catering.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Successful background checks (criminal, DMV, drug screening).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
