Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director of R&D Data Science & Digital Health to lead Real-World Evidence and advanced analytics across therapeutic areas. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, shape strategy, and deliver end-to-end RWE studies from data feasibility to regulatory-ready analyses.

You will collaborate with Data Science leaders to drive methodological excellence, leverage diverse real-world data sources, and communicate insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in epidemiology or biostatistics.
• Proficient coding in R.
• 8+ years in biopharma, RWE or healthcare.
• 5+ years people management.
• Strong skills in bias mitigation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of RWE scientists to shape strategy and deliver projects from data feasibility to final presentation to senior leaders.
• Partner with Data Science Therapeutic Area leaders to conceptualize and deliver Real World Evidence.
• Lead a portfolio of RWE projects, establishing best practices and reusable tools.
• Provide end-to-end expertise in RWE studies including study design, data feasibility, analysis, programming, and interpretation.
• Develop and apply Real-World Data methodologies to mitigate biases in external control studies and hybrid designs.
• Generate actionable insights from historical trial data, observational databases, and literature reviews for regulatory interactions.
• Create study protocols, analysis plans, and analytical datasets with tables and figures.
