Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Director, Revenue Controls to own the control environment over the order-to-cash cycle, including subscription, consumption, self-serve, and enterprise motions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Hands-on SOX experience over revenue/order-to-cash processes; able to design controls and provide audit evidence.
• Experience as business-side owner or lead partner on revenue system implementations or major configuration changes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first-line control owner for order-to-cash and revenue process controls.
• Maintain narratives, SOPs, and process maps; update with changes.
• Collaborate with Billing, AR & Collections, Deal Desk, and Revenue Accounting to keep definitions current.
• Design and influence controls over usage capture, contract-to-billing accuracy, invoicing, cash application.
• Own reports and IPE validation within the revenue cycle; ensure completeness/accuracy.
• Partner with Revenue Tech and Internal Audit on IT-dependent controls; ensure governance.
• Work with third-party providers to obtain SOC 1 reports and assess risks.
• Assist External Auditors with walkthroughs, testing, and remediation design.
• Engage with Product/Sales/Legal on new offerings to assess control implications.
• Diagnose breakdowns; drive root-cause fixes with accountable owners.
• Train process owners on control execution and audit-ready evidence.
