Job summary

Anthropic, a San Francisco-based AI safety company, seeks a Director of Revenue Controls to own the order-to-cash control environment. You will drive design, documentation, and evidence for revenue controls and coordinate SOC reports with service providers.

You will partner with Billing, AR, and Revenue Accounting, bringing senior judgment and discipline to a fast-moving team. This role requires deep SOX, ASC 606 knowledge, and collaboration with internal auditors and external firms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Deep SOX experience over revenue and order-to-cash processes.
• Experience as business-side owner on revenue system implementations.
• Understanding ASC 606 and revenue recognition mechanics.
• Experience with consumption and subscription revenue models.

Responsibilities

• Lead first-line control ownership for order-to-cash processes.
• Maintain process narratives, SOPs, and maps.
• Collaborate with Billing, AR, Deal Desk, and Revenue Accounting.
• Design controls over usage capture, invoicing accuracy, and cash application.
• Coordinate SOC 1 reports with third-party providers.
• Work with IT and Internal Audit on IT-dependent controls.
• Partner with Product, Sales, and Legal on new offerings for control implications.
• Support external auditors and remediation efforts.
