The role partners with the CFO, Controller, and program operations to minimize revenue leakage, resolve denials, and ensure compliant revenue recognition per contract terms and GAAP. The candidate will oversee cross-functional teams and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
• At least seven years in revenue cycle, reimbursement, billing, accounts receivable, contract finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience with third-party billing and collection processes: claim submission, remittance posting, denial resolution, aging management, payer follow-up.
• Experience managing government contracts, grants, or publicly funded health services revenue.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, internal controls, month-end close, and audit support.
• Advanced analytical and spreadsheet skills; ability to work across financial, billing, contract, and operational systems.
• Ability to interpret complex contracts and payer requirements, communicate findings clearly, and influence across departments.
• Demonstrated judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, integrity, and deadline management.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly revenue close activities for government contracts, grants, and third-party payers, and provide revenue schedules to CFO and Controller.
• Reconcile services delivered, billing activity, remittances, cash receipts, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and GL revenue accounts.
• Develop estimates for earned but unbilled revenue, contractual allowances, denials, and other revenue adjustments.
• Investigate variances between contracted amounts, services, invoices, payments, and revenue; drive resolution.
• Maintain auditable documentation and standard controls for revenue calculations and journal-entry support.
• Prepare revenue cycle reports, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
