Job summary

Datavant is seeking a Director-level leader to own the inventory strategy for Payer Retrieval, translating client demand and milestones into actionable weekly and daily plans. You will establish forecasting, prioritization, and routing rules across channels, balancing capacity, yield, and cost while guiding cross‑functional teams in Operations, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and vendor partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Eight+ years of progressive experience in operations, inventory planning, demand forecasting, capacity planning, workforce planning, or related field, including at least three years leading teams.
• Experience translating demand forecasts and objectives into actionable production, routing, prioritization, and capacity plans in high-volume multi‑channel environments.
• Ability to identify performance risks, develop recovery plans, establish governance, and influence across boundaries.
• Strong financial and analytical skills including evaluating productivity, capacity, service, yield, cost, and other tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to develop operational technology, automation, or AI-enabled workflows and measuring impact.
• Exceptional executive communication skills to convert complex analysis into clear actions.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, data visualization, forecasting tools; SQL is a plus.
• Healthcare operations, medical-record retrieval, payer operations, vendor management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory strategy and weekly/daily operating plans for Payer Retrieval.
• Develop forecasting, segmentation, and prioritization based on client commitments and routing.
• Define routing rules across channels based on provider behavior and costs.
• Monitor performance and adjust distribution to improve outcomes and reduce delays.
• Lead recovery planning for inventory behind pace or blocked.
• Use scenario planning to inform capacity and demand decisions.
• Coordinate with Workforce Management to map demand to staffing.
• Support annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting with inventory data.
• Establish KPIs and governance for inventory health and yield.
• Deliver data-driven reports and translate insights for leadership.
• Collaborate to refine prioritization, routing logic, and roadmaps.
• Work with Call Center leadership to segment inventory between human calls and AI.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve flow.
• Lead and develop Inventory Strategy team and advise senior leadership.
