Job summary

Apellis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Director to lead the U.S. SYFOVRE Market Access Strategy, driving pricing, contracting, and payer marketing across the retina space.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team and align access initiatives with brand objectives, engaging cross-functional partners to optimize patient access. The role requires extensive experience in market access for specialty products, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of buy-and-bill reimbursement and Medicare Part B

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA/MPH or other advanced degree preferred.
• 12+ years of U.S. market access, payer marketing, reimbursement, pricing, or related pharma/biotech experience.
• Experience developing market access strategies for specialty/physician-administered products.
• Deep knowledge of buy-and-bill reimbursement (Medicare Part B, ASP-based dynamics)

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated U.S. market access strategy for SYFOVRE with accountability to the BNA Leadership Team.
• Direct pricing and contracting strategies balancing patient access and net revenue.
• Oversee payer/reimbursement marketing and optimize buy-and-bill across coverage and payment.
• Monitor retina market dynamics and translate insights into brand strategy.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to execute access priorities and pull-through.
• Provide leadership across functions to align access priorities with investment decisions.
