Call Your Mother Deli is hiring a Director of Design and Architecture in Washington, DC to lead shop design from concept through opening. You will translate the brand vision into functional spaces, guide the design team, and coordinate with Real Estate, Brand, Operations, Construction and IT to ensure design intent and practical build outcomes.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, early site planning, and development of repeatable design tools, with a strong focus on hospitality experience

Qualifications

• Lead restaurant/hospitality design projects from early planning through construction and opening.
• Translate brand vision into plans, elevations, and renderings with clear reasoning.
• Direct architects, engineers and consultants while keeping design documentation on track.

Responsibilities

• Lead early fit plans and space planning for sites including kitchen layouts and guest flow.
• Coordinate site investigations with architects/consultants to capture constraints early.
• Develop shop design packages with plans, elevations, finishes, sketches, and visualizations.
