Job summary

Call Your Mother in Washington, DC is seeking a Director of Design & Architecture to lead the creative development of our shop spaces from site evaluation through opening. You will translate the brand vision into functional, repeatable design solutions and specs, coordinating with real estate, operations and external consultants.

The role requires 5+ years leading restaurant/hospitality design projects, with an ability to balance creativity with durability, cost, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Lead restaurant or hospitality design projects from early planning through construction and opening.
• Turn brand vision into compelling plans, elevations and renderings.
• Direct architects, engineers and consultants while keeping design documentation on track.

Responsibilities

• Lead early fit plans and space planning for sites including kitchen layouts and guest flow.
• Coordinate site investigations and ensure constraints are understood early.
• Develop shop design packages with plans, elevations, finishes, sketches and visualizations.
• Collaborate with Construction, Operations, IT and Supply Chain to integrate design decisions.
