NextEra Energy Resources seeks a Director of Insurance Claims to lead complex assumed reinsurance claims for Palms Insurance family. You will oversee claims management, performance, and coordination with brokers, reinsurers, underwriting, finance, and legal.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of coverage issues and reinsurance contracts.
• Strong communication and collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Ability to resolve complex claims with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of personnel management.
• Direct and manage the Company's Claims Departments including budgeting and SOX compliance.
• Provide quarterly updates to Executives and insurers on liabilities and reserves.
• Attend Excess Insurers meetings and manage reserve analyses.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on risk projects and initiatives.
• Support audits with documentation and reconciliations.
