Responsibilities:
The Director of Rehab OT is responsible for the efficient management of rehabilitation services in their assigned account(s). This position also assists in the integration of rehabilitation services across all settings. The Director ensures that the highest standards of rehabilitation services are delivered and maintained.
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient and profitable management of rehabilitation services in assigned site(s).
- Provides direct patient care.
- Monitors the standard of clinical services being delivered and maintained, ensuring an ethical and compliant product.
- Operationally manages Powerback Rehabilitation personnel and consultants within facility or home care contracts.
- Ensures accountability for evidence-based care and adherence to standards.
- Reviews monthly department and individual therapist outcomes, supporting staff in improving outcomes.
- Assists therapy staff in identifying and removing barriers to treatment and provides clinical education.
- Supports staff development through rounding, coaching, and mentoring.
- Performs annual merit evaluations of therapy staff.
- Participates in hiring therapy staff in conjunction with the Clinical Operations Area Director.
- Manages daily staffing and utilization, considering clinical requirements and recommendations from the Clinical Director.
- Administers financial controls of revenue and expenses.
- Prepares and reviews facility reports weekly and monthly.
- Assists in annual budget preparation and strives to meet budget goals.
- Supports clinical orientation and quality onboarding of new rehab staff.
- Promotes high standards of rehab services through resource utilization, clinical program promotion, and staff development.
- Supports the promotion of Powerback Rehabilitation products and services.
- Assists in identifying and securing new contracts.
- Develops and maintains relationships with facility management and staff.
- Oversees clinical management, including case management, quality improvement, care planning, and patient identification.
- Prepares and reviews monthly reports with facility administration.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program.
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid, unencumbered occupational therapy license as per state requirements.
- At least three years of direct patient care experience and one year of management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.
Posted Salary Range: USD $79,040.00 - USD $112,000.00 /Yr. Bonus: USD $10,000.00
