Job summary

Meta seeks a Director of Regional Development to expand its global data center portfolio in line with AI initiatives. The role oversees regional capacity growth, site selection, and strategic development within North America, delivering cost-efficient capacity with flexibility.

You will collaborate with design, engineering, construction, network, and legal to execute aggressive capacity targets, mentor teams, and travel 25% or more as needed.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in industrial real estate, infrastructure and development.
• Proven multi-party deal delivery for data center capacity.
• 8+ years running regional programs and organizations.
• Leadership in large capital projects and complex structures.
• Experience opening new markets for data center capacity.
• Ability to drive decisions in ambiguous environments with senior stakeholders.
• Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience tracking industry trends and competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead regional development programs and opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, network, and legal.
• Guide strategic approach to capacity development while managing risk.
• Own data center site selection and development in NA.
• Deliver cost effective capacity with flexibility and optionality.
• Represent Meta with suppliers, governments, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor staff for career development.
• Travel domestically and internationally 25%+.
